1999 World Weightlifting Championships – Women's 58 kg
The Women's Lightweight Weightlifting Event (58 kg) is the third women's weight class event at the weightlifting competition, limited to competitors with a maximum of 58 kilograms of body mass. The competition at the 1999 World Weightlifting Championships took place in Athens, Greece on 22 November 1999. Each lifter performed in both the snatch and clean and jerk lifts, with the final score being the sum of the lifter's best result in each. The athlete received three attempts in each of the two lifts; the score for the lift was the heaviest weight successfully lifted. Weight Class
Weight classes are divisions of competition used to match competitors against others of their own size. Weight classes are used in a variety of sports including Rowing (sport), rowing, Weightlifting#Weightlifting sports, weight lifting, and especially combat sports such as boxing, kickboxing, mixed martial arts, wrestling, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Alternatives to formal weight classes include catch weight and openweight. The existence of weight divisions gives rise to the practice of weight cutting. To be the largest individual in a weight division is perceived as advantageous; therefore many athletes lose weight through dieting and dehydration prior to weigh-ins to qualify for a lower weight class. Aleksandra Jadwiga Klejnowska-Krzywanska (born 17 December 1982 in Legnica) is a Polish weightlifter. Life and career She was born in 1982 in Legnica. She represented Poland at the 2000 Summer Olympics, ranking fifth in the 58 kg category, with a total of 202.5 kg. Michaela Breeze
Michaela Alica Breeze (born 17 May 1979) is a British former weightlifter. Breeze was born in Watford and raised in Cornwall and educated at Wadebridge School. She started weightlifting under the guidance of PE teacher Dave Allen. Breeze then went on to Bodmin Community College before attending the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff. Breeze is well known for commentating at various events including Rio Olympics and Tokyo Olympics. After nearly eighteen months of starting weightlifting she was put in touch with a new coach, Ken Price. She sustained a back injury in 2000, which saw her miss international competition and training for over a year. After taking a silver at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, Breeze retired from the sport and opened a gym in Aberdare. Liliana García Sosa (born 17 October 1957) is an Uruguayan-Spanish actress, solicitor, human rights activist, and theater director with a recognized career in film, theater, and television.
